Purpose — Full Service for 9 November 2025

January 9, 2026 by ECotN

Many people search for meaning in family, career, and personal freedom, but these alone don’t always satisfy. True purpose comes from relationships—especially with God and others. When we love, serve, and share our gifts, we find real fulfillment and joy. Life’s greatest meaning is found in loving God, loving people, and making a positive difference.

Pastor Joni discusses this and more in her sermon, Purpose, from Ephesians 1:3–14. Along with this primary passage, she will draw from Genesis 1:26, Genesis 2:18, Isaiah 43:6–7, Jeremiah 9:23–24, and Matthew 16:25.

January 9, 2026 by ECotN

Pastor Ian talks about grace and judging through the parable of the Publican (tax collector) and the Pharisee, as told in Luke 18:9–14.

Discover how ancient wisdom and modern struggles intersect in this engaging sermon, “Grace Filled Thinking.” Drawing from the teachings of Jesus in Luke and Matthew, this message explores the heart of the greatest commandments, the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, and the cultural assumptions about wealth and righteousness. You’ll hear how money, status, and judgment shape our relationships with God and others, and why grace is essential in our thinking and actions. The sermon also touches on the challenges of self-reflection, accountability within the church, and the importance of evaluating sin through Scripture rather than personal preference. Join us as we unpack these timeless lessons and consider what it means to live with grace-filled thinking in today’s world.
