Sacrifice — Full Service for 11 January 2026

January 13, 2026 by ECotN

Pastor Ian explores the Book of Malachi, and how God questioned God’s people in regard to their actions and attitudes toward worship. Malachi highlights how offering defiled or blemished sacrifices—such as blind, lame, or sick animals—shows a lack of reverence and honor for God. Instead of bringing their best, the people treated sacred offerings as insignificant, ignoring the true cost and meaning of devotion. This message challenges us to consider the quality of what we give to God and whether we truly value His blessings in our lives.

Advent of the Coming—Full Service for 23 November 2025

January 9, 2026 by ECotN

As Advent and Christmas approach, Pastor Ian explores the tension between cultural celebrations and deeper spiritual traditions. While decorations, music, and movies fill our homes, the church’s Advent season calls for preparation, self-control, and active faith. Drawing from Luke 12:35–38, Luke 12:40, and 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11, Pastor Ian encourages us to focus on hope, love, and readiness for Christ’s return—not just the festivities. Are we working for what truly matters, or just swept up in the season’s glitter?
